Getting into our summer dance intensives or year round training program starts with a call to our admissions office to register for an audition with us. Our auditions are typically held at partnering studios around the country and in Europe during the spring for admissions to that year’s summer intensives.
How old do you have to be to go to The Joffrey Ballet?
We offer Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Pilates/Stretch classes. They are for dancers ages 16 and up and for any active adult of all ages.

Students en pointe should bring their pointe shoes. Boys wear black tights, black or white ballet slippers, and a black or white fitted t-shirt.

Summer Intensive Auditions – Dancers may audition in person at one of the sites on our National Audition Tour, submit a video audition, or audition via Virtual audition on Zoom. Participation in the ABT Summer Intensive is by acceptance only. Students may only audition once each year.
