It has health benefits from increasing stamina, relieving stress, and body sculpting to name a few. But it’s also great for mental and emotional health. I feel that dance brings people together and provides them with a sense of community with people that have the same interests and passion.
Why do we dance?
Dancing promotes confidence, self esteem, personal expression and flexibility of the body and mind. It is a great way to connect your child to a supportive community and an appreciative audience. Dance classes promote physical fitness as being fun and easy and are the catalyst to engage in fitness for a lifetime.
Why is dancing so fun?
It releases endorphins – It’s pretty impossible to dance and stay in a bad mood. That’s because dance is exercise and exercise releases endorphins. Endorphins react with receptors in the brain to reduce the perception of pain and increase positive self-image. That’s a great reason to dance!
Why do humans want to dance?
We dance to express ourselves. Similar to clapping, we use dance to create a response to stimuli. For most of us, it’s a response to music, and for others, it’s simply a response to feeling good. Whenever we feel a certain way, we can use dance to project our emotions from deep within out into the world.
